It has produced some latest films of Bollywood such as Rang De Basanti, Swades, Jodha Akbar, Life in a… Metro, Fashion, Barfi, Chennai Express, Highway and many more. Currently the production house is headed by Siddharth Roy Kapoor who knows how to market his films well.

Dharma Productions Pvt. Ltd. was established in the year 1979 by Yash Johar and after his death it has been carried on by his son Karan Johar. This is a well known name for his most romantic and family movies of the era such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name is Khan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kal Ho Na Ho, Dear Zindagi, Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani and more in the list.

This production house was founded in the year 1985 and owned by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Founded in the year 1999 by actor Aamir Khan, the first movie under this banner was Lagaan which got nomination in Academy Award in 2001. Though he has made very less movies it is to be noted that every movie of this house is superhit namely Taare Zameen Par, Peepli Live, Delhi Belly, Talaash, Dangal, Dhobi Ghat and Secret Superstar.
